Swan wrote her new single ‘The Outcome’ when someone who was a really important mentor to her passed away, which affected her deeply. He taught her that music doesn’t have to be complex to be great; it has to be honest and authentic. When she wrote the song, it felt like he was looking over her shoulder, helping her write it, even though he was already gone. ‘The Outcome’ is a reminder that sometimes not knowing where to go is part of the human experience, and that hope is one of the most powerful tools we have.

Swan distinguishes herself with a blunt yet poetic songwriting style, refined harmonies and groovy production. Last year, she opened for Jeangu Macrooy and legendary soul singer Gladys Knight at the Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam. This year she opened for Pete Philly & Perquisite on their European tour and played at the North Sea Jazz festival. ‘The Outcome’ was produced by Swan and Perquisite and will be part of Swan’s debut album, scheduled for release in January 2025.
