Swan’s second EP ‘Safety Net’ explores the difficulty of letting go of old patterns and situations that no longer serve you. Throughout the EP, Swan navigates the space between body and mind, while trying to follow intuition. The concept of light, which is also visible in the cover artwork, runs like a common thread through the EP as a metaphor for unprocessed emotions, sometimes guiding you forward, sometimes blinding you, and sometimes pulling you back in. Where her debut album ‘Underneath My Façade’ uncovered what lies beneath the surface, Swan’s second EP ‘Safety Net’ captures what comes after: the messy process of trying to change, without always succeeding. Produced by Anwar Sawyer (known for his work with Audrey Nuna) with co-productions from Dominic Charles, Jeff Shum and Konstantin Ladurner, ‘Safety Net’ reveals moments of surrender, denial and self-awareness, showing the complexity of relationships with painful honesty.
