After they first hooked-up for the North West Metropolis project in the autumn of 2002, Nu-Jazz/HipHop-producer Perquisite (Amsterdam, 1982) & MC/vocalist Pete Philly (Aruba, 1980) joined forces to form the duo Pete Philly & Perquisite. The first result of this soulfull coalition was the Mindstate EP. This 6-track EP explored the boundaries of HipHop by adapting other genres like Nu-jazz, House and even classical music.
