Perquisite vs Dudok
Perquisite just announced that his first String Quartet will be performed live by the Dudok Quartet and drummer Jelle Huiberts this January. The world premiere will take place on Thursday January 8th and a second concert is planned on Sunday January 11th. Both concerts will take place in Doka, the new cocktail bar in the basement of the Volkshotel in Amsterdam. Besides 60’s and hiphop, Perquisite grew up with classical music. Perquisite: “I’ve always been a big fan of the string quartet. That’s why I decided I wanted to write one myself. It started out as a project I worked on in my spare time where I hadn’t planned anything concrete around. Untill the Volkshotel reached out to me, asking me if I could do something unique at their venue. So that’s how it all worked out! Of course I’m very honored that such gifted musicians will be playing my piece.” Both evenings Dudok will also play the ‘String Quartet in F major’ by impressionist composer Maurice Ravel. Tickets for the concerts are for sale through this link.
