Out now: ‘Get A Grip’ by Swan & Ginge

Back to overview

‘Get A Grip’ is a unique collaboration between Dutch R&B powerhouses Swan and GINGE with a top-notch production by Perquisite. Swan: ‘It’s a song for people that need a little encouragement with ending their ‘situationship’. We’re the loving friends that say: ‘Realize your self-worth, go get a grip!’’ GINGE: ‘It’s all about girlhood; the firm care of friends saying ‘you deserve better’ while you keep slipping down the slope of a bad relationship. They might need to repeat it a few times, but you know your friends will always be right in the end.’

Swan distinguishes herself with a blunt yet poetic songwriting style, refined harmonies and groovy productions. In 2023 she opened for Jeangu Macrooy and legendary soul singer Gladys Knight. In 2024 she opened for Pete Philly & Perquisite on their European tour and played at the renowned North Sea Jazz festival. This year she released her debut album ‘Underneath My Façade’ on Unexpected Records.

GINGE is an independent artist from Utrecht, the Netherlands. Inspired by artists like Joy Crookes, IYAMAH, and Snoh Aalegra, she makes songs that are a mixture of R&B, Pop, and Neo-Soul. Her voice can be sultry and sharp at the same time, making her sound both sweet and spicy. In 2024 she released her long-awaited debut album ‘Playing Around’.
