Today marks the 15th anniversary of the release of Pete Philly & Perquisite’s debut album ‘Mindstate’! The 17-track album was released all over Europe & Japan and became somewhat of an underground hip hop classic. The record made some serious waves in the scene and press, with Talib Kweli stating: “Musically, these guys are light years ahead of the game.”, and Notion Magazine UK exclaiming: ”As much as 21st century Soul as Hip Hop genius (…) one of the most profound Hip Hop albums of this year.”
